An Earnest Appeal

Readers of this brochure would have no doubt realized the honest efforts made by us to bring to the forefront this once great institution from rack and ruin, after in underwent a traumatic period sometime ago. The college is now inundated with requests from parents of children all over Colombo north and specially from outlying areas of the college for admissions, which it self is an indication that public recognition of the college is slowly, but steadily gaining prominence. Faced with the Herculean task of finding accommodation to meet the growing demand for admissions and also having in view the necessity to provide for the expanding activities of the college, we found that a new three storied building would effectively solve the problem. The project was estimated to cost Rupees 8 million by competent building engineers.
The foundation work extending to first floor has now been completed at a cost of Rs.4.4 million donated by the western province council. We require further Rs.5 million to complete the second and third floors and pressing the Chief Minister Foe necessary fund to complete the building
.
We therefore wish to appeal to the hearts and minds of our wealthy past students, business magnates, well wishers and friends to donate magnanimously to this worthy course. We also extend this moving appeal to all the relatives living in Thailand of that great Royal Thai personage, the late venerable Jinawarawansa Thero whose divine blessing had paved the way for the emergence of Prince College in Sri Lanka.
Donations could be made in cash or by cheque. Cheques should be drawn in favour of “Prince College Past Pupils Association” and crossed with the wording “Account Pay Only” All donations will be officially acknowledge.
